Students were introduced to Adobe Illustrator. Gillian gave 5 min overview. Students followed directions from Gillian. eg click Window, Tools. Linger with mouse over the tools. Click individual tools. Bring up pallets.

First task: Build interface for Garden Centre with the following buttons: About, Products Contact. Use symbols and shadows, etc

Gillian demo'd more techniques which could be emulated in example interfaces.

Second Task: Build a band website of their choice - choosing an appropriate colour scheme and using the symbols etc from Illustrator and the templates.

Gillian dem'd how to create seperate swf video in Flash. Students built same .swf with photographs (slideshow) and then incorporated their own photos into web which is being constructed week by week

Students directed to where they can review demo of including above. Nobody appeared to utilise. They returned to me spoon feeding.
